Purple skin on a black based foal...

What would cause it??? It happened to be, in this case, also combined with blue(ish?) eyes that turned amber within a few months. The skin appeared way too dark for champagne to me, so what else could cause purple skin?

Cream or silver or combination of both. My pale pally with silver, had purple skin when he was born. He had greenish eyes too which turned to an amber brown colour overtime, not within days. He now has light grey around his muzzle but still has mottling around his eyes, gential areas and some pink skin in other areas. My silver bay mare, I noticed has purple skin where a rug rubbed.
