Very possible, I actually wondered that myself. Here's mom now that she's finally all shed out (EE Aa Zn) and I have no idea about dad... prev owner of mare was supposed to send me pics of him but hasn't yet (mare wasn't supposed to be bred when I got her last Oct, lol!)

She doesn't look red enough for bay to me, especially given she's also LP (which seems to add red).

...but she's also silver. Wouldn't that account for the lack of red when combined w/ LP?

My childhood pony was difficult for me to figure out, color-wise. I called him a flaxen chestnut and it just seemed 'wrong' though I couldn't pinpoint why I felt that way. I know now he was a silver bay but at the time I had no clue about horse genetics and color. His body color was reddish, but not really red like a bay ... yet, not red like a chestnut, either. It seemed sort of 'muted' to me. If I imagine that he had LP, I could easily see him being the color of that mare.
However ... I shall defer to you as you have seen more examples of color than I probably ever will! :-D
