I know there is another thread on this but I'm not sure where; anyway, this is what popped up in art history today, I thought the horses looked neat

I just wish I could drive my horses without harness of any kind or even a bridle, it would save so much money, not to mention time taken harnessing!
The Caravaggio painting I love, but it always amused me that it looked so much like one of my paintings when I was at school (subject matter, not ability!!) when we were told to paint something and I would turn it round so I could include a horse, or horses, or just paint a horse- "Hey, Caravaggio, mate, paint us a picture of the epiphany of Paul, OK??" - damn, thinks Caravaggio, I really wanted to paint that nice horse my handsome new neighbour has........the rest, as they say, is history!

Wow! Awesome finds CM! I've always loved the Conversion. The artist was so obviously painting from a grullo tobiano. Plus I love the view of the metal shoes on that horse.
The second pic horses look so splash sabino.
