Hmm, just noticed this!!!!

Just noticed this on my filly the other day. She is a yearling, 25% arabian & tested heterozygous tobiano (both parents Tobi). She is also pally. She has 4 completely white legs & on the front legs the chestnuts are ringed in pally hair, you can see the black skin underneath in the photo, in a circle around the chestnut. Yet on the back legs the chestnuts have pink skin & white hair around them. :rofl No real point to this, just having an observant day. Now for the pics. Close up of chestnut. She's nice....I like your ponies / horses!!
Whole picture, for those of us that are memory challenged???
Totally off topic (do we not have an off topic smiley??)but has anyone tried crossing AmShets with Welsh to get a showpony?

Really ACC, I never knew Tobiano did that, but then I have never owned one before. :flower
It is really odd how the front ones are effected but not the back.

Rabbit, I didn't breed this filly, I bought her.
I don't have any really good current ones of her, she is going through the yearling fuglies.
She will mature around 14.2h & is nice natured filly.

Face marking.

Only waaaay back.
More recently it has been all Hackney Ponies, to the extent that it is impossible to tell one form the other in some sections!!
I like Am Shets and think they would really benefit (the larger ones) form a bit of Welsh input.
The tiny ones seem to have got their lines straight, they breed to a definite type (not Hackney) and have influenced the Minis to the good, I think.
