Had me stumped...

Yesterday was one of the hubby's charreada competitions. I caught this horse out of the corner of my eye and thought it was a flea bitten gray but then I saw its face... His base color is a very light palomino and his face and front legs are darker palomino so I'm guessing palomino roan? However, what would cause these spots? Bend or spots?? I really wish I hadn't taken phone photos. There is no white on this horse except on his foot. The rest of him is very creamy... Except his face and legs (front) which are much darker than his body.

The guy has had him since he was born and has always been palomino of that shade. He just in the last 4 years got those spots.

(nice little horse by the way!)Haven't got pics available but I broke in a quarter horse colt almost the same color. He was very wishy washy colored and when wet had the same sort of spots...not black but brownish. I thought maybe champagne but tested not.But tested creme. Just really weird.

Charro (not the stereotyped kind you hear about tripping horses, etc. ;) lol). Basically just the charro version of American Rodeo.

And yea, he's a cute little horse. I'd like him a LOT more if his tail was set lower. lol
