Grulla + Roan ??

Ok, I was sent this pic claiming this horse is a grulla + roan...? Can you guys tell me if the roan gene would cover over a dorsal like this? also does this look like a shade of grulla?? All I got was this pic! really odd : ) Would be very rare if it was, as in Aus true black duns are like hens teeth :) Could be dun going grey....? Please share your thoughts ;)

Well, we know the horse has the dun factor.
It would be helpful if we could see the whole horse. Classic will cover a dorsal...or diffuse it.
This photo is a classic roan grulla mare. It was taken in September in the black Hills. Her filly is also classic but bay dun. The colt on her left is grulla without classic.

There are different shades of grulla so I'm sure that would also change the look of classic roan.

I guess my question would be why wouldn't it? The alleles act seperately and I don't think the roan allele would distinguish between dun factored hair and diluted hair. It roans out the body equally, irrelevant of amount of pigment.

Thanks for all that input, as we do not get to see these colours commonly here in Aus, it is good to get the correct feedback from those who have seen or own grulla roans!
Great, I was not sure why whole horse not shown but I guess that is the owners business as she is selling foals due out of her mares and this was one of the mares she has due to foal.
Exciting if she is in fact a true grullla..
thanks again
:D

My mare has that sort of Roaning in her dorsal as well, so does my Bay Roan, come to think of it, not in winter, just in summer coat.
