Extreme wild bay and an odd striped hoof (different horses)

I have seen that often with Chestnuts, but I am not sure I have ever seen it in a black leg, like that.
Just as a matter of interest, how old is the Buckskin??
I ask as I had a foal two years ago who was born with two white socks behind....no problem, Bay minimal Tobiano.
Anyway, this Spring she "grew" stripes on her near fore which sent me sifting through the mud and hair, and sure enough, she has also "grown" some very small, attached, white bits that were NOT (definitely) there at birth. She is now coming two, btw.

As for the "buckskin", he's actually bay (well, wild bay) and he's 6 now.

The striped hoof belong to a solid TB without a single speck of white. I couldn't find any apparent LP signs besides 4 striped hooves. I didn't see mottling but can't recall if I checked for sclera, not that it would have mattered.

As an interesting bit of trivia, I read recently that Plaudette apparently had a foal registered into the JC registry, with a false dam provided...
