dun or bay?

Oh, that is a tough one. I wish there were more photos of him during different seasons, that can make a huge difference. I'm going to say not dun because the photos given are in his summer coat and I'm going to guess that they are less apparent in his winter coat.

I'm fairly sure that is countershading not dun. I don't see any dilution in the foal coat and although I've seen some really dark duns I would expect the dorsal to be darker.
