Confirmed DW horses

I would love to have a thread with confirmed DW horses, if that is legally okay. My first contribution is this link, which horses are known to be DW? http://www.painteddesert.net/colorfultb.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Everything loudly marked from the Puchilingui line is pretty much guaranteed to be as well as everything from the White Beauty line. Airdrie Apache is 99.99999% certain to be, they just haven't found his mutation yet.

This site kinda pulls the KNOWN ones together:

I LOVE the way they have explained the mutations in that. (In case anyone doesn't see the similarity I have tried to copy the idea for explaining tobiano).

I am trying to do them same for the other colour mutations but am having trouble finging out how many exons there are in various places. E.g it isn't much use (for the picture) knowing grey is a duplication in intron 6 of gene syntaxin 17 (STX17) if I dont know how many introns/exons there are on STX17.

A couple of lovely people have given me some great links off here to (proper scientific) pictures of the genes however :sign I have yet to find the time and energy to wrestle with it for the (likely good few hours) time it will take me to work them out.

It is really bugging me though so I will have to get onto it. Like having The Answer to Life the Universe and Everything but written in greek cyrillic.....with no google tranlator.

It's the meaning of life.

42. You know ... 42! It's the answer to the ultimate meaning of life, the universe and everything. 42!

...it is a line from the movie: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
A race of people build a supercomputer, named Deep Thought, specially built for the purpose of answering that question. It takes Deep Thought 7½ million years to compute and check the answer, which turns out to be 42. So unfortunately, The Ultimate Question itself remains unknown.

:) I love you guys, you know that's what I was thinking of.....anyone know cyrillic numerals?

Third Peppermint Tue, 07/06/2010 - 10:12

I can read cyrillic! I'm a tad slow due to lack of practice, though. And I suppose it depends what language in cyrillic...
