Re: AQHA Stallion
CM! I am so proud of you for trying that daunting task! What I can say is that his stifle, it is the end of his femur, so his femur is going to go all the way to the edge of where the stifle is. Do you see the little bulge under your circle? that is the end of his femur, so his stifle is just a little lower. He is closer to the "triangle", I'd say. What you are looking for is the equivalent of his knee cap in a human. In the shoulder, the end or lower side of his scapula is lower....Let me pull up something I may be able to post.
This horse's gaskin and femur? Close to equal. Quite a unusual from what I read and good. His shoulder could be a little more open, cannons nicely short in comparison to the forearm, close to 1:2. He is long in the front right toe. Coupling could be better, but tight loin, I think....
Re: AQHA Stallion
I'll work on the skeleton drawing some, I have some free time right now. I know the basic skeleton shape since I draw some but its harder to draw the actual bones.
Also I'm finding myself puzzled by some of these terms, I think maby a sticky with a horse labeled with the different parts might be helpful for us less knowledgeable people. Anyway, just an idea.
Edit:
I see where his stifle should be now, a little lower than where I placed it.
Is this any better?

Re: AQHA Stallion
Hey I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I wanted to see how good I could do because I remember someone saying that someone else would draw skeletons over photos. Also I wanted to try one of my own horses out first before making others look bad! Also if its not completely terrible I wouldnt mind doing it for other photos.
