testing needed

I need some testing done on the color calc script. It has to do with linkages. I've eliminated all the inputs but extension, roan, tobiano, and dominate white (just for testing) and the output page will only list the possibilities coming from the sire and the dam. I "think" I've eliminated all the bugs but thought that before and found more so I'm posting here first before I start combining the scripts. http://www.equine-color.info/calc/calclinks.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; If you think you've found an error please email me at admin@equine-color.info or just reply to this thread. Any reply should include both inputs and outputs. I will be asking RMT and horsegen to take a look but if you think of anyone else who isn't an admin and has a good grasp let me know please.

Between the group that is in here, RMT and Horsegen, I think you'll be covered. I'll take a look later. So far it all looks good to me. I assume you've got the percentages worked out as well?

Yes the percentages part is done already. I did think of a way to make the crossover code much much simpler though. I haven't finished that yet.

When I input in the alleles, this is all I am getting back for results:
Sire
E R T W
e r t w

Dam
e r t w
E R T W
You entered all the sire's mutations from his sire and all the dam's mutations from her dam?

That is what you should get.

They are linked so the only possibilites are E linked to R T W and e linked to r t w for the sire and E linked to r t w and e linked to R T W for the dam.

Wouldn't there be a 7% chance of crossover for each allele? I guess I was expecting some percentages.

Daylene Alford Sat, 05/15/2010 - 22:23

Oh yes, I just hadn't entered the code for that yet.

I just need to check that the basic links (without crossover) are correct. Adding the crossover code is a piece of cake compared to all the options you get with those links.

Ahhh...now I get it. I need to read slower :D Well, from what I have entered, it looks accurate to me.
