I know this was a hard decision for you but I am with you on this one, if someone wants to continue to act like [i]just[/i] one of the members and not Admin then maybe that's where they want to be.... :sad

Although most of you probably already know why I did this. I thought I should explain myself a bit for those of you who may not.

I removed ACC form admin/moderator status because she seems to be a focal point for controversy. Its not that its all her fault, it's just she doesn't seem to be able to let it go when someone doubts her/challenges her. That is not something I want to see in an moderator. You guys are here to stamp out fires not fan the flames.

I am behind you on this one. ACC is very knowledgeable and great about doing research, but she does tend to be in the middle of conflicts often.

I am also going to try and talk with Ammit privately as I have known her for several years. She tends to very abrupt at times, but she did go out of line with several of her comments. I am hoping that she will stay in the community because she is very knowledgeable and has a lot of good insight into genetics.

She has a way of coming off hostile, defensive, or just plain rude sometimes. I know that it's not only here, but everywhere, and I don't think it's just her writing skills. I have to say that the very thing that Ammit pointed out has always bothered me. There are many here who have emailed me privately the very same thing. I hope Ammit comes back - we can usually handle lively discussions.

I talked to Ammit and she said that she will try to come back in awhile after everything has died down. She mentioned that her leaving was do solely to ACC and that she had nothing bad to say about anything else on the forum or the other members.
