Am I paranoid?

First I got a notification that someone had requested to reset my password here. It was not me. Khaos has been very sick and I've been at the training barn. Then, I get a locked out notification from my bank that I've tried to login too many times and need to enter a code that I've NEVER had to enter.... paranoia?

Yikes!!! I'd be very concerned. Change ALL your passwords. Does anyone have access to your computer at home? If you can, password protect it too just in case.

Those sound like the philsh emails that I get all the time -Think of it as a twist on the Nigerian check scheme. They are all spam and should be deleted WITHOUT opening, and certainly never respond to any of them as that will sometimes allow a trojan onto your system to hack your data. If you just delete the email without opening nothing happens.

I have seen them saying my credit card accounts have been hacked, my ebay or paypal account has an issue - but the best of all is the one that says my bank account has been frozen due to unusual activity (on a bank where I don't even HAVE an account).

Run adaware and spybot to make sure you've not got something installed that you don't want. I got the shock of my life recently--had done my normal scans on one day, got notice to update spybot the next, so ran the scans again, and found a remote control thingy on my computer!

I haven't done anything with your password here....

I'd be very careful.

I think I'm straight... It could have been my kids, I doubt it though. But someone did try to login as me at my banking site. They locked them - and me - out though. Phew.

Khaos is OK. He's gotten better, they just don't know what was wrong. His hind legs stocked up and he had a fever of 105. Banamine for swelling and Naxcel was given suspecting a bacterial infection they'd seen in other young horses that had been to the horse park, but the blood work showed that his protein was normal, WBC was normal. So infection was ruled out. Then LDC, fibrinagin and something else was elevated which - had the protein level been elevated - would have indicated a liver issue. So all they know is that either his muscles were inflamed or his liver was inflamed. They don't know what the cause is.... I thought about running the blood work by a few here to see what they thought.

He got better so quickly after the Naxcel.....fever was down to 102 over night and swelling in his legs went down more and more every time we hosed him and walked him. My panic did not subside until his fever was down to 100 naturally (no bute) for 2 days in a row. It was 102 out with high humidity that day too. Very hot.

I've decided to bring him home.

Are you thinking PHF? That's all I can find about rear stocking combined with fever....it's not common around here, but I am wondering if the Naxcel would be effective against it.
