Daylin usually rides my old 24 year old paint mare, but she got a treat Wednesday - on Cyn. She just earned a saddle finally so she's not doing as much bareback IMAGE(http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs017.snc4/34204_1340718920389_1303669382_30805840_3480879_n.jpg)

Re: Day

She looks good on him, I taught my girls to ride bareback first also, I think they can ride better when they learn to ride bareback first. Neither of my girls are a horse nutty like me though.

Ya! I wish I'd learned bareback first. Her balance seems to be much better. She's getting horse nutty again....some years ago I had an old arab that took off with her and she balked for a few years....so recent lessons were going well and she was asking to ride or practice every day. Emergency dismount first, and stopping, then walking slow, walking big, sitting a trot, posting, extending, etc....now she got to canter and she was all about it! She said she didn't want to and then did it on accident. It's been horses, horses, horses......The poor chickens are getting neglected now (and I think they are happy not to be getting posed everyday)! But I talked her into selling some, so....that's good!

Yep I learned to ride bareback first and thats why I wanted to teach my girls that way. It really gives you good balance and a feel for a horse, I still prefer to ride bareback. My girls used to take the chickens on the rope swing with them LOL!
