Can you see Frame on this mare??

HI again all you colour gurus :) This mare is supposedly a Tobiano/overo.. now we do not know if she was tested but looking at her we are thinking she may be Tobiano/Splash, the blue eyes being from the splash rather than the frame... But not experts so who sees frame pattern here?? I had to use foal pic for the other side of her.. but this is both sides and she has 2 blue eyes. Thanks

Since the test to know for sure, costs $25.00 I am not even going to bother guessing!
Let's just say I would not breed that mare to a OLW+ stallion!

Hi :) We will test her when we get her home(has not arrived yet) of course, but thought it would be interesting to see if it showed to those who are more familiar with the pattern.
She was bred to a Frame Stallion by prior owner  Delivered a healthy Frame/tobiano filly...fortunatly for them if she is a frame carrier, they may not have known the risks as new to breeding, I am not sure.
Thanks for replies :D

I'm with the above...SO many frames show nothing at all and the black lip? Somehow that's ringing a frame bell. No harm in testing or only breeding her to negative tested stallions.....plenty of beauties to choose from. I know the black lip is not only on frames, but it is frequently and it is just not worth a year and a foal to risk it.

Definitly test or LWO neg stallions only :) With Classy, I was actually dead sure she was frame so I just picked out a nice negative stallion. Got her tested the next year, no frame! So now I can breed her to whatever color but I can't breed cause I can't have another horse. (and she gave me everything I wanted in V)
The neck pattern says frame to me, usualy tobiano would have a V shape crossing the topline. Definately test.
Are you saying that this horse's tobiano neck pattern is affected by frame or that you feel this horse is frame only? :? ...Just checking because tobiano is screaming at me here.

Butt says tobiano definately, the way the white climbs up from the hind socks round the back of the quarters and the general 'feel' is tobi I agree. But the neck pattern has a framey sort of feel to it to me. :)

I agree there is a chance she would test negative, but I have long since gone past the point of wishing to guess at something that could result in a non-viable foal!
