These seemed interesting to me So red and so dark for a buckskin, though his muzzle is the right color. http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-298090 This is a palomino? http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-298167

That's a CLASSIC example of a smokey brown. Pretty noticeable difference when the shade is that extreme.

Yeah I'm thinking NOT palomino on that one. Silver for sure... just not sure what's under the silver. Smokey brown silver maybe?

I agree with RF.

He's got at least three white feet Lipi. I think the 4th may be at least partially white as well.

I have a little mare the exact same colour as the first one. She was born looking very buckskin & ended up quite dark & alot of people ask what colour she is, most commonly people call her brown or chestnut.

Here are some pics.
She also has a very pale muzzle.

I could, but I have just sold her, she leaves on Monday.
I know she is cream, & her daddy is homozygous black, & mum is buckskin carrying chestnut, so it never really bothered me to find out any further.

Here is mum. She is by a chestnut & out of a smoky black.

And with her pally foal, she has also had a smoky black foal & another buckskin of the golden variety.

I agree with that Acc, but I am pretty sure mum is sooty buckskin, not brown.
It doesn't show in the photos, but she looks nothing like her daughter wise, she is much more gold,
in summer coat, she is a dark gold with dapples & obvious sooty.

Mum hasn't been tested either, so only an educated guess.
