Bay roan w/ frame/sabino?

I don't post much, but this mare has me stumped. She was supposed to be a QH/Appaloosa, but when we went to go look at her surprise surprise she's a paint. She has a slight sclera, but I have seen paints that show that as well. I think she is bay with frame and sabino or splash. I'm leaning towards sabino, which could cause the roaning. She is not a classic bay roan, her head is the same color as the rest of her. Her mane and tail are black with white hairs sprinkled in. She also has a two month old colt with three high whites and a really neat face marking that I don't have close up pics of. I think he is either splash or sabino. Just curious, why do you think Frame, not that I'm disagreeing, but just wondering what specifically says Frame? I (as usual :))) can't see it necessarily, but could also see it could be there if that makes sense :D

I agree on the LP - I'd sure test for frame if I were going to breed her!

The pushed low front left sock and the framed belly spot could maybe indicate frame..(?) It (the belly spot) certainly matches the phenotype of frame overo. That right sock is crazy! It looks like lightning going up her leg!

Agreed on the Lp roaning and the frame...and look at that foal's solid leg and 3 high whites...that screams frame to me...

She's never going to be bred again, lol. Her conformation just isn't what I like in a broodmare. I was just curious. What makes you guys say the LP? The roaning didn't look like appy roaning to me.

It definitely looks like appy roaning to me. The light lines on her face especially.

I've no doubt she's frame. I've never seen that much side white without it.

Any idea what her App pedigree is? The photo quality isn't to good, I'm not sure it I'd call that app roaning, or snow flake as I've seen snowflake patterns resemble that, maybe a combo of both. I ask what her pedigree is because Bright Eyes apps got a hole nother mixture of white patterns in them. This app farm I worked with had a Dreamfinder leopard mare that had two nice sized overo markings on her belly that were really noticeable when wet. And there were a few Bright Eyes apps on our drill team, that at the time I thought were sabinos, only later to find out they were splashed whites thanks to Carolyn Shepard.

I have seen that much framed white without Frame, In Welsh animals, where Sabino + Splash are your only options, often without blue eyes, too.
I am not certain on the Varnish bit, it is a possibility, but again, I have seen Sabino give that much roaning.
