Bay Roan? Blue Roan?? someone help..

This is Romeo. I do not know what his breeding is.. someone please help me figure out what color this is? I'm terribly confused. I thought bay roan at first, but when his winter coat shed out, he appeared more blue. Any suggestions?? I was thinking brown roan as well.. who knows. Haha. It seems like his coat changed from day to day and it doesn't look exactly the same in any two pictures, I've sold him now so I guess I'll never know!

Well, he obviously is not black based, which he would have to be to be a "blue" Roan.
I think brown base, too.
