Chocolate palomino

Can someone explain to me what exactly IS a chocolate palomino?? Is it just a pally with sooty?

That's one theory! And I think pretty surely accounts for some....but then it could also be just a darker colored chestnut compared with a lighter one? I don't think that sooty accounts for all livers, so I think there are at least two acceptable explanations that are possible.

with all the new things we are learning and discovering it only seems right that there must be something else going on.

All the black silver cobs in the UK were called chocolate palomino's until the americans taught them "silver dapple"!

P.S I LOVE real chocolate palominos, I love sooty palominos too. The pally societies are so snobby over here, you can't even register a pally with too many black(liver?) hairs

I asked ou big Dilutes society that has the motto of registering all solid dilutes (has sections for dun, silver, pearl etc..) And for all them you just need the specific dilute gene, except for PALLY's. So asked why I couldn't a register a sooty pally, and I was ignored
