I'm actually slightly less convinced he is Roan now!

This is Willow, Silver Black. As you can see her lower legs are darker and she has the "solid" head. (The paler bit is her remaining winter coat)This is the one that, as a foal, I thought might be Roan, but is not.

Ah, thats what I was thinking of... so its safer to only have one roan parent.
I cant see roan but Im no expert.. I do REALLY like this colt tho, such a pretty head too!!
Roan being homozygous lethal
Roan being homozygous lethal has been false. Except Brabants, which might be a different form of roan. Breeding two roans together will not result in embryonic death as there are known homozygous roans alive and well. There is no difference in safety between having one or two roan parents.
