Silver Bay Dun???? He is
Silver Bay Dun????
He is actually half way decent, I hope someone who appreciates him and can handle him gets him. At least they gelded him but he has been sitting in a pen for two years- in which universe is this looking after a horse in an acceptable manner??
I honestly do believe the best answer for the horse would be to sedate them and put them down. Yes there would be a HUGE outcry but honestly, whosoever's fault this mess is, it is not the horses.....
Who really knows where he will end up.
(I am not pointing a finger, btw, we are now having exactly the same problem here, with almost all scrub ponies. Making a registration society for rubbish ponies [ yes, Dartmoor Hill Ponies and Gypsy Cobs I AM looking at you...] does not make them worth anything at all. Anyone want a free "Gypsy Cob?? Come pick one up, they are being turned loose in small droves over here)
Well you could find me a free
Well you could find me a free Gypsy Cob, but then it would still cost me $25k to get it here!! So I may as well spend a couple of thousand pounds and get one where at least I know where it's come from!
I have heard though the massive problems with ponies/cobs being turned loose, over population etc, very sad.
I do agree though, more 'rescuing' should involve putting them down. Sounds harsh, but the time, money and effort going towards saving 'everything' I think is unrealistic

I SO wish more people would understand this. I recently read of one person planning to spend $15,000.oo on surgeries for a dwarf. Meanwhile, you have difficulty getting $1,000 out of an excellent quality horse unless you have put $5,000.oo into showing it. :hammer
Chestnut, no wait, red
