Cool!
OK. I'm kinda in left field here... Are these going in a book or something? Why is she taking pictures of everyone's horses? I don't know who Barbara is! :oops:
Yes, there is going to be a book. If you're not familiar with her work you should check out her gallery: http://www.barbaralivingston.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Lacy is beautiful!

WOW! I love her website! Her photography is awesome! I love her slogans.. really sets the moods!
I wish I had Frodo to volunteer for pictures. Or even a place for picture taking! Right about this time, the only thing green is the algae in the stream!

I go to places like that all the time.... ;)

Thanks for the nice words, and ACC, thanks again for letting me photograph your gorgeous gal! That ear is quite a challenge, isn't it! :) I Photoshopped a few of them and then thought, "What am I thinking? I'll just do the one that we choose for the book....duh....." (that being said, we're not doing much Photoshop in the book, like on backgrounds, for instance)

Of course, ACC's shots are so good of Lacy that trying to get something different was nearly impossible.

I'm still looking for a few horses even though the deadline's in a few days. ;) I'd like a (darkish tone) champagne, a "awwwwww" palomino foal, a few-spot model, and anything super-unusual. On the down side, though, I'm only going to a few more spots - NY, NJ, MD, VA, VT and KY (why, oh, why, isn't that new Mini brindle in one of those states...sigh........).

I was hoping to fit a trip to TX in, Pamela, but I don't think I can swing it in the time allotted. :( But if I do, I'll send a note to see if I can come pester you, too!

Morgan Mon, 06/29/2009 - 21:56

Too bad you can't make it here, my black splash/sabino just slicked off and he allways looks like a shiny sleek racehorse before he fades. You'd get plenty of action too, he gallops around like a nut for no reason at all in the summer. :lol: Of course then you would have to do my war bonnet filly, and the palomino sabino and the tobianos would be too cute and irresistable. :P

I do have a friend that lives in Jersey....she has a "loud" paint mare & pretty much the rest of her paints are solid...a bay, a black & a sorrel. Then she has a bay QH mare & a sorrel gelding. If that interests you I can you give you her info. Here's are her site... http://www.paintedluckranch.com/Home.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; She actually has 2 of the mares she's tryin to give away.

Too bad!! But if you do you're more than welcome here!! I just wish my place was a nice & beautiful as some of these lady's places. I have mainly weeds every where!! lol But I would LOVE the opportunity for you to photograph my girls!! :D ;) :P

That made me laugh out loud!!!! I love that shot!!!! If I had a horse, that's what she'd be doin'. :rofl :laugh1 I love your horses, Morgan....

I've swooned over the Red Bud horses for many months now - especially Cougar - trying to think of how to get out there.... How wonderful that a member owns that farm!

I think I'm set for paints, Pamela, although I must say your friend has some really good looking ones! I especially just love I B Trouble - such a great name!

And if you could see the places I take pics, Pamela, I don't think you'd worry about yours. There are times I'm shooting horses (well, figuratively) between the old rusty schoolbus- and abandoned above-ground pool backgrounds. :laugh1

Right! And OKie Songcatcher is a man who has some seriously cool colors. ;)
I have a regular flaxen chestnut sabino though. Not exciting enough. But it would be great to use Gander as an excuse to get to meet Pamela and Katie (Krickette) and Freeman (songcatcher) Or just plan a trip to The Promise Welsh. Lots of cool color there too and he is 'around the corner' from us. :lol:

Morgan Tue, 06/30/2009 - 01:28

grulla lady is Arock: http://www.arrowrockspanishmustangs.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and promise is: http://www.thepromisewelsh.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; he has more Splash in his horses than anyone should have a right to. :laugh1

Arock is only about a half hour from me. I'm not exactly sure where excpt her address is Hominy (but that doesn't mean too much in this area lol). We're both in the area north of Tulsa.

And The Promise is about a half hour from me. (make that an hour and half for you) :lol: They are not on this board, but take a sneak peak and you'll see why Gander should really stop by there. *nudge, nudge, wink, wink*

Daylene Alford Tue, 06/30/2009 - 09:06

I have a grullo+roan and a dun + roan foal that still needs to be tested for cream. However getting my horses to do anything other than stand in the way would be a good trick in and of itself :rofl

I'm a little over 2 hrs from Morgan, just north of Fort Smith, AR.
