Wow! look at this Silver Morgan ( I mean very Sooty?? Morgan)

Look how much his color changed from when he was born until now. I love the his color now, the most recent pics are at the top and as you scroll down those are the oldest. They are calling him a Palomino but you can see both parent's, the dam looks like a perlino and the sire a silver bay. http://www.beachestripletranch.com/Morgan_Fritze.htm

I don't know, the owner was told they are sooty Palomino's because there is no Silver in the pedigree, but they sure look Silver to me.

A very very sooty isabella? once his hair grows out it will probably be a little more mixed or flaxen.

Wow! That's very cool if he is a pally! I'd love one that dark myself - very unusual but he certainly does look Silver lol :)

I don't know what Isabella is in horses, but here is a closer look at the mom, she must be Cremello, I was thinking Perlino, but both her parents are Sooty Palominos, there is pics of them at the bottom of the page.
Fritz looked Pali when he was born, but I just can't get over how dark he shed out.

Actually the owner emailed me and said he was UC Davis tested negative for Silver *shrugs* the baby looks more Silver than the sire does so if that's true, I don't get it.

A friend of mine did a senior project on horse genetics and had a 'quiz' at the end for the audience to see how much they learned. She used that horse as the trick question at the end. I think she asked "Which horse has the silver dilution?" and the answer was none since they were all the different images of the same animal.
