Working on adding Modifiers need pictures

I've added a photo gallery for flaxen, pangare, and sooty so I need photos to fill them up. If you have photos I can use please email them to me at admin at equine-color.info When you send them to me please include how you want the photo credits to read and be aware that I may use some of them on the modifiers page. Thanks everyone!

Bodi sure can immitate black silver, and sometimes even GRAY. Wow.

Maigray I'd say splash on that one though I'm sure he also has sabino. However I see more splash markings than I do sabino.

That's truly why I got him tested. After seeing his dad, and with no visual proof of mom I began to wonder beings how both Morgans and QH's carry the silver genes and that is what his dam is. Also didn't help I belongs to MorganColours and I followed them like white on rice when the silver just started coming to light. Glad I know the truth though. My favorite part is his chocolatey legs.

We can use Vanna. There is a whole progression of photos of her from a young foal until now, she is 3 years old, I believe, and she shows dramatic seasonal variation. Here is one of her as a youngster, in very dark winter foal coat, and then in very light summer coat.

Edited to add, her registered name is JDM Vanilla Twist, and her owner is Jenny M

Hi everyone,

Do you still need a picture of a sooty palomino?
I think maybe this short post was missed. Daylene?
I'm going to take some new pictures of Sadie this weekend and if you'd like I will post them. Thanks Maigray for emailing me. :)
Oh another question does anyone have access to a photo of a seal that has actually been tested for (At)?

Also, Who owns this photo? [img]http://www.equine-color.info/gallery2/m…]

I'd like to use it as an example of gray on the modifiers page.

I know I'm rambling but I keep thinking of things....Who has some good gray progression pictures that they would be willing to let me add to the gray gallery?
Do you want any pictures of fleabitten greys? I have a heavy fleabitten grey Arab.

Hi everyone I've been out of town since Sunday with no internet access. We got back yesterday but I was pretty tired and just caught up on some of the posts.

Bodi,
Thanks for the pictures of Bodi!! He is the most extreme example of sooty palomino I've ever seen. I'll start adding more pictures to the gallery today and tomorrow. How would you like the photo credits to read?

Journey, Yes please sorry I didn't reply earlier...

Maigray, How should the credits for Magnum Spatz read?

Bodi Thu, 06/25/2009 - 17:11

This little "pony" is Bodi's sire.

He's a dark bay. Maybe he is what you guys call At? I think this is where Bodi's sootiness comes from but simply all speculation.

Bodi's dam I never saw or met. She died when Bodi was a few months old. I was simply told she was palomino. No shade given or anything.

Bodi was tested by UC Davis as being ee AA Crcr

CMhorses Thu, 06/25/2009 - 17:57

Thats interesting.Without seeing the mother, you can't really say it came from the father but it would be interesting if he was a sooty bay.
I've noticed only one foal from our sooty buckskin stallion to start to show signs of being sooty.

Baymount's Sadie (Blacksaddle Starbuck x Marvelous Dawn Enchantres by Marvelous Encore)

Sadie has been DNA tested to confirm her color (e/e, A/A, N/N, N/Cr). She has changed colors quite a lot as she matured, but now has remained a dark chocolate color. I will get some newer pics this weekend and post. Here are some older pictures.....

I LOOOOOOVE that BOTH of those black palominos are 'AA'. :bounce :rofl

(FWIW, yes I would call Bodi's sire a seal brown. Very classic of it even before the whole 'At' thing came up.)

Monsterpony Thu, 06/25/2009 - 23:21

Hey Maigray, could you ask the people that are offering if I could use the photos in my project on color recognition amongst veterinarians. All the photos would be credited and only used for educational purposes.

Daylene Alford Fri, 06/26/2009 - 09:45

Thanks Maigray for all the examples. I'm a bit behind but getting them loaded as I can.

Thanks to Bodi and Journey also. I got Bodi loaded yesterday and I should get Journey's photos done today.

accphotography Fri, 06/26/2009 - 10:08

Daylene are you just using one photo of each horse? I was going to add Lacy to the frame gallery and stopped when I realized I wasn't sure if there should be multiple shots to show various things or just one to show the overall look. I could make a 2x2 collage so it would show everything in just one photo... or not. Whatever you think.

Maigray Fri, 06/26/2009 - 11:50

Take your time, absolutely, I know I'm throwing them at you constantly now. Please let us know if you need help.

Debi Ontko has just requested photo credit on the Magnum Spatz pics goes to Irene Tones, with ownership to Eclectic Arabians.

MP - I will try. Should I say you are a final year vet student writing your thesis?

Hopefully, this might pull in a few members as well.

Don't go out of your way if it is a bother. And, yes, it is for my final year thesis. Thanks.
