What color is my horse?

I'm pretty excited about this little QH colt, and though he looks a little scraggly right now I just got him and I'm hoping he'll do the "swan trick" for me. He's a yearling (so excuse the ugly duckling syndrome!) and has barely been in my possession for 16 hours. His dad is a bay silver (dam is Champs Paige Cat, also a bay silver, sire is a chestnut) and his mom is a grullo, possibly with a cream gene, she hasn't been tested. What shade of silver do you think this boy is? Pictures of him are in his winter coat and foal coat. I think he's silver brown with a faded foal coat. It could be silver buckskin though.

I got the color testing results back today: Aa/Ee/nCr/nZ. I think he's actually Ata because he looks more like a smoky brown than a buckskin.

That is nice that he' s silver buckskin! Congratz. His being Aa means he can sire a silver black if bred to the right mare.

I'll have to see what he looks like when he sheds out, but I think he's a smoky brown, not a buckskin. He doesn't look buckskin to me...I'm going to go with Ata Ee nCr nZ. I need to get him tested for brown.
