Sorry about the little guy, Id test for agouti and sabino might not show you much but may not mean she dosent have a different variation that isnt testable yet.

I would always test for frame, just in case.

There are also tests now for several genetic diseases found in stock horses you might be interested in, if she is one.

There is a topic, about 2/3rds down the page on the Equine Color Genetics Forum that provides links to labs that perform color testing.

I'm sorry about your black gelding.

Looks Splash to me....Yes, I see Sabino too, probably, but there is no point testing for it, waste of money basically!!
Always test a breeding mare for Frame, just in case.
Sorry about the gelding....life sucks sometimes, doesn't it?? :BH

I'd also test for frame, but agree that sabino is a waste of time and money as it only test for SB-1 and we all pretty much agree that sabino is poligenetic. Sorry about your gelding - I hope & pray :ympray: all works out for him...

Sorry to hear about your gelding- I hope everything works out okay.

Test for Agouti and Frame.

thanks for the info guys :)
Sorry I forget her breed! she is a purebred QH and has been tested for HERDA... shes neg!! (even thou I didnt have to test her I did my 2 mares anyway) yipee. no need for HYPP test, she has no halter/Impressive blood.

she has had 3 foals, first was badly face with stockings from a QH, 2nd was paint (from a paint called Copyright (IMP)) and last had blaze & stocking to a QH with hardly any markings.

my gelding: just got back from vets, phew its not in his bone and joint which is good to! but they want $3000-5000 to plaster his legm and confine him for months to get the wound to heal :( (barbed wire injury over the hind fetlock joint so it moves as he walks)
