What colour is Sero?

Sero is a 1/2 Clyde and 1/2 TB, and is almost 2 months old. Hes almost finished shedding his bright red/copper foal coat. Seros got mostly dark points, his mane is mostly black but intermixed with some chestnut hairs and his tail is a black and white skunktail. I have a topic up for his sire Duke (no one can tell me what he is, not even the vet) but his mum is a brilliant sorrel colour. His coat (now that the fluff has gone) is a deep red mostly, but on his front legs the colour is a bit more mousey brown and his topline is black from what I assume is a sooty thing, it fades as it spreads downwards. Seros Rump: Front and back legs: And finally full body (this photo makes him look way skinner then he is :( ) Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. I'm kinda working backwards with this to help figure out what colour his sire Duke is too..

Sero, imho, is still in his foal shed and will be a sooty bay with splash. You won't see his true colors until his yearling shed next spring, but all indicators are for a bay Clyde. The "odd" coloring is just foal "camo" to "hide" them until they are large enough to outrun most predators.

Yep, just bay from me too :D

And yeh splash/sabino I suppose too, most clydeys have them. Not that has anything to do with his light tail though.

I think brown, or maybe bay. I would wait until he is fully shed to make the decision.

It annoys me that the vet can't tell what color the sire is. Sigh, I really need to finish my booklet on color determining for vets.

I wonder if the light tail is indicative of him becoming a roan? His dad (Duke) is a roan so maybe he'll follow suit? :bounce
