I have had a number of Palomino foals, from my Smokey Black stallion, that were actually darker at birth than when matured.

and this is him as a mature stallion , there is no doubt of his colour as he has been tested positive for cream , homozygous for silver , black base but can produvce red foals too

I actually do think, based on that picture, that she is Palomino. I think one of the reasons we get "cream" Palominos in Minis is because they are, really, Dunalinos- the Dun seems to make the colour paler. I have had quite a few PBArab foals come out as dark as your filly, possibly even darker. I would still like to see her outside, though, when you can do that.....

Interesting, although I've seen silver blacks (and smokey silver blacks) go a real creamy pally looking colour after birth, at birth they still usually have the platinum silver look. So maybe this one is a pally, I don't suppose if you know if the sire is EE or Ee?

the sire is Ee and he has produced pallys before so it is possible
when the filly was born and still wet she looked very red ,her eyes are very blue (not splash type blue but a bright baby blue)

I know , I went to bed thinking she was chestnut and woke in the morning to a very pale foal
