What Colour Am I? Verdict is in :)

Re: What Colour Am I?
I vote bay...I've owned a bay gelding this exact color and there was no chance of cream: dam was dark chestnut out of a long line of chestnuts and bays; sire dark bay out of a long line of bays and blacks (pre-testing days).
That is not to say that he couldn't carry cream, but I'd like to see a pedigree. That'd give us a better idea of what could be passed down to this fella.
Re: What Colour Am I?
No he's not from my silver buckskin mare. This boy is out of Tassys Playgirl (bay QH) and by Helter Kings Black Magic (smokey black QH) His sire is notorious for throwing buckskins of varying shades. When Stanley (my colt) was born , he was very bay to look at but as he shed and grew he changed to what appeared to be a really dark buckskin and is now this colour. Soooo I'm very cofuzzled lol.
Re: What Colour Am I?
Based on that photo he looks bay. But, I don't take too much notice of shedding foal coats, so many foals look like what they are "NOT". I have had bays that look buckskin, blacks that look brown or smoky black, etc. :love
If you want to know for certain, then the only way is to test.
Re: What Colour Am I?
Ok, well almost 12 months older, he's a bit of a midget though - I don't think he's grown a whole lot :) Anyway - I think the verdict is in.....BUCKSKIN lol. Oh and please excuse his paddock mate 'Fang' as she is currently recovering from a mystery illness/injury.

Bay, by the looks of it
