What is this colour?

This mare is a blue and white mare but ive no idea what that colour actually is?? Is it just grey?? Here are some pictures for her. Her sire was a spotted and we believe her dam was also blue and white. So although she isnt spotted could she pass spots onto her foals?? What colour would you class her as for the colour calculator please? The darker pictures are in winter the lighter ones in summer [IMG]http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r278/sallyskellern/IMG00636-20110417…] [IMG]http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r278/sallyskellern/150231_1684021149…]

Blue and White normally denotes a Grey Pinto, which is what it looks like your mare is.
Unless she had spots as a foal, and greyed out to lose them, then, no she cannot pass on spots to her foal, unless bred to a stallion with spots- which, with a Grey, is a bot of a waste, quite frankly.
There are exceptions to this rule, it is not cast in stone, but it would depend on her having inherited the necessary gene from her sire, and being bred to a stallion that had inherited the other half of the gene necessary for making an Appy- all a bit complicated, unless all your horses have been tested, and there is not a test quite yet for the PATN side of Appy, only for LP.

Ah thankyou.

If she was crossed with a homozygous silver black, red carrier, what colour foals woyuld we be looking at?? Mare hasnt been colour tested so i appreciate results may not be 100% accurate.

Since she is a grey tobiano, that unfortunately does not tell us what her base color is. All greys are born a base color (ie- bay, black, chestnut, palomino, etc) and then grey out with time. Bred to the above mentioned stallion, she has a 50:50 shot of producing a grey. The foal will be silver, but what color of silver will depend on what base color the grey is hiding.

And also, Silver Greys tend to be born sparkling white, so it would also be hard to see if the foal were pinto or not.....
