What color is she?

My filly was born on March 27. These are pictures of her taken March 29. What color is she? Is she just a very very very light sorrel? Seems like she has a dorsal stripe too.. I'm confused! Here's her info: Breed: Quarter Horse Pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/lsxaj (There's a pic of her dad on there) http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b242/racingqhchic_13/DSCI0017.jpg (her momma is in this one) http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b242/racingqhchic_13/DSCI0011.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b242/racingqhchic_13/DSCI0010.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b242/racingqhchic_13/DSCI0018.jpg

She's chestnut with a bit of foal countershading. Just to clarify. Chestnut, while used by the aqha to designate a darker shade, is genetically the same as sorrel.

Do you barrel race? I noticed the streakin six.

Yes your foal is chestnut - the countershading often looks like Dun but it is commonly seen in foals and is to help camoflauge them, we believe.

Thank you everyone! Yeah the stripe had me confused, but I see that it is just countershading :) Admin, she's gonna be a race horse. We breed racing Quarter Horses and race over all over Texas.

That's a bandage the vet put on her, bc she had to get a couple of stitches by her knee. But we've taken it off now and she's healing just fine :)
