Silver buckskin with app roaning. The foals look silver bay and maybe smokey brown (flank looks really creamy).

I was also thinking silver buckskin.

Lipi, that's what his owner really thought... so I had him tested (as I dream of a champagne appy, esp one who has done well at Nationals in driving!) but he tested negative.

I can never tell with the spotted ones, as appy can do such stange things to colours!!

The eyes are certainly light enough for champagne, but the skin is too dark IMO. I'm guessing the eyes are from the cream.

I was also thinking silver buckskin. Then I saw the first reply was ACC saying silver buckskin. Now I'm proud of myself (assuming you're right, ACC......lol).

I do not see Buckskin.
Silver Black base + Cream + Appy + varnish.

Actually, yes, I think you could be right about the Bay rather than Black......

I'm still learning so why are the eyes so light if he has no cream? He sure is stunning, not just his color but his conformation looks excellant to me, not that I know anything about minis.

I don't think they would be. ;) However, I have seen a few random non creams with VERY light eyes. This is one of them:

His eyes are spooky light.

that is spooky light, and the darkness of his body makes them pop out even more. Very cool.

Someday I'll find the head shots of him and post them. It's easier to see how gorgeous his eyes are in those, but they're temporarily lost in the mess that is my external hard drive. :rofl:

Well someday (not in the distant future but not right at this moment) I will fully test him and come back and let you know :) I sure can't wait to get him home :)

New pics... but from my phone so not the greatest! He got here (well, my trainer's) 30 minutes after our flight took off for the WEG in Ky... then when we got home I went and picked him up but it's my work week so I haven't taken good photos yet, waiting until I'm off (starting 7am tomorrow...) so this coming week I will take better pics with my camera. Might be later in the week, yesterday he got his hind leg caught in the fence while I was sleeping, not sure how long, and wouldn't put any weight on it at all yesterday. Today he is walking fine but I can tell it's still a little bit sore, so will wait a few extra days before turning him out in the big area and attempting to take good photos ;)

(yes those are purple stitches LOL! He tore his eyelid before coming here, but as you can see, it won't hardly be noticeable once the stitches are gone)

I know nothing about mini's but I seem to like every angle of this little guy, his head, movement, just everything really stands out about him as being a quality individual.............and he has a sence of humour :rofl .

I will have to say that I really like this guy, too. Usually I dislike mini's because they look "weird" to my uneducated eyes, but if they all looked like him I'd be buying them left and right. And putting them in my apartment...
