What is this?

if you have a horse that goes chocolate points from the appy and also from silver, would it be more diluted, less, or the same? :?
Anyone got silver appy minis? I want to see one

IME they look the same without or without the LP (in minis) Morgan.

Then you've got it hiding in red bases. Also hiding in leopards, fewspots, any pattern that seems to effect the mane and tail. LP effects the mane and tail on it's own so it might never be thought of.
Yup there is only one silver ApHC horse that is known. I don't know how many silver AQHAs there are but they only hail from two lines so it's pretty rare.
what are the two lines? I've only ever seen one silver QH in person...at a local parade...she was gorgeous.

I would have thought it might have been noticed before now, if there were more running around.
Ya know, Im not sure it would. Especially with LP messing with the colors so much I think it would hide VERY easily.

I mean app mare pops out a blanket app that sheds off choclately and starts getting a flaxen type mane, and you have a breeder who says "flaxen chestnut" because thats what it looks like, when its really silver bay.

I think LP and silver together could muddy things up enough that a breeder who didnt know what it was wouldnt notice.
The problem with that is that 2/3rds of the solids registered, even historically, with the ApHC are app x app. So there's been plenty of opportunity for a proper silver black to show up, and none have.
