2002 15.2 hand liver chestnut gelding -- $10,000 EFF Laurel's G-Man's dam is a lovely Section D mare (Winterlake Catrin, bred by the owner of North Forks Brenin Cardi). “Fly” is a big little horse in personality and ability. He may not be fast but he’ll happily steer around a jumper course or do the little medal or eq classes with you (2nd place last year in the Nancy Wild Jumper Medal Final at 2'9"). He’s a fantastic horse for someone with a little riding under their belt who now wants to get their feet wet in the show ring. He’ll take a kid who is doing the crossrail divisions up to Short Stirrup or pre-Children’s in no time and he easily has the scope to go higher when they’re ready. He has his flying changes and is adjustable to fences. His step is big and he makes the strides easily. Fly is also very versatile and willing to try anything. He’s the kind of horse who can go from team penning to the beach to a hunter show with ease. He has also done a little dressage and has the big gaits to pursue a dressage career if you want. He is easily the most personable horse in the barn, loved by little students, parents, and stall cleaners alike. Fly is registered half-Welsh so he could show on the Welsh circuit. He is eligible to be registered half-Arabian as well if you want to show him at the Arab Sporthorse shows. We were told by a Sporthorse breeder that he would be very competitive in that venue.
