unusual? pinto markings

At least, I thought so. Not super strange by any means, but the front half of the horse is jsut... different... to me at least. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/grd/1461438721.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; [img]http://images.craigslist.org/3mb3o63la5O05P15Rb9bb5841c288f6ca16ab.jpg[…] (I saved the pic to my computer in case the ad gets removed so let me know if you can't see it)

I really want to say frame is at work here too, doesn't it often cause solid tails? I know tobiano likes white tails with black tips. (at least I think im not mixing them up)

Definitely. And something else looks frame too, but I can't place it. I also see splash... but the lack of face white... I dunno. Very strange.

Lack of face white doesn't really mean anything to me,other than tobiano is there. Someone (I think Gander) has a picture of a horse with a 'badger' face that i swear has a completely white body. Even our Holiday has rather loud body markings and only a star and snip. Not saying its common at all for the lack of face white either.

That horse reminds me of Marlin the Clown Fish from "Finding Nemo" with all of those dark/white vertical stripes.
The photo also makes the head and butt look the same color while the two inner markings on the neck/body appear a darker color. It is probably just 'shade/shadow' with the sun not shining on it, but it does look odd.

Its another one for our Very Rare and Special Odd Eyed horse registry - a dark teak clown - I like it.

Looks tobi to me but I'll agree that it is an unusual layout, for some reason it is saying splash to me.
Yes, but I would anticipate more, obviously splash, face white before seeing this type of phenotype.
Agreed, that is what I meant by lack of face white. Didn't mean he had none at all, just not alot.
