Striped Hair

So, today at work I realized that I have an agouti striped hair. We were actually oohing and aahing over it in the office since it was so obvious and dramatic. As someone else on the internet noted - like this: http://www.mun.ca/biology/desmid/brian/BIOL2250/Week_Three/agouti.jpg Has anyone else ever run into one of those on your head? Most of the hair was a dark chestnut-like color, but about one inch of so from the end it has a centimeter long band of what looked white/bleach blonde. Of course I laughed to myself and though OMIGOSHAGOUTI! I have currently misplaced said hair somewhere on my head (I hope), although I noticed that a lot of my darker hairs have a very subtle stripe like that. If I find that one again I'm totally taking a picture. Granted, I have all sorts of wonky hair colors. The underside is VERY dark - pretty much brown. The rest of the hair is a mix of brown hairs, bleach blonde hairs, and medium blonde hairs. The thicknesses also varying based on color. And, of course, some are as straight as a needle and others make a perfect, although annoying, sine wave. Yup, human coat color genetics.

Some of my hairs have been grey and brown stripes, not seen one like that for a while I'll have to have a poke about.
