St Jude Trail Ride

it was really fun! I kinda hurt a little, but it was worth it. Nike did fine. I only noticed one other barefoot horse, but....it's cool. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2012287&id=1215900180&l=0b89003131" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2012288&id=1215900180&l=a7f20cfca3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; there, you can look thru my album ^_^ i took some pretty good photos, but a lot were blurry. there were a few interesting colored horses there, too.

That looks like it was lots of fun, and for a good cause too! :D I wish we had more events planned like that around here, but oh well..lol.

Thanks for sharing!

Where is "around here" SSS?
(welcome, BTW) 8-)

Simplystarstruck Wed, 03/25/2009 - 21:38

Vneerland: Thanks for the welcome! :D And "down here" is Southern Maryland. We have lots of events, but usually you have to travel out of the county to attend the bigger things that are planned. If only I had a truck and trailer of my own

 I felt the same way! That's not down, that's up. ;)
But I guess you cannot get much more down than we are Krickette. In the US that is. :D So SSS is down from someone, that I believe.

vneerland Fri, 03/27/2009 - 01:20
What's all this up and down? Maryland is way, way east :D
:laugh1
Not down east or up east? Just east? Guess that means you're way up there too.

@ Krickette: I forgot to mention that I love your friends horses too. (navajo is cool colored) 8-)

Monsterpony Fri, 03/27/2009 - 01:47

Well, I am about as far to the north and west as you can get with out leaving the continental US, so everything is either south or east of me

he's for saaaaaalllleeee!!!! ;)

He's a heinz 57 she got at an auction when he was a baby, and has trained him herself. He's really come into himself lately (I think he's about 8)...It's amazing, because he's strictly on grass, and looks like that in winter, lol!

ahem. I'm west. ;)

Wait, are you talking about school or home? I was thinking school.

:o  You cannot tell me that. You're too close.

Monsterpony Fri, 03/27/2009 - 15:11

I was talking by state so WA is a tad further west than OR because of the peninsula, but I think you are still slightly west of me when I am on the westside. I think I am still north of everyone living in the US though (anyone from northern Maine?)

TwinCreeksFarm Sat, 03/28/2009 - 16:08

ha! for people around here, Maryland is very much so 'South'. no one would debate being east though!!

Morgan Sat, 03/28/2009 - 16:32

:laugh1 I'm still used to everything being "up" from living in florida but oklahoma is crazy being in the middle, you actaully have to think about which way stuff is. Although I still think of northern states as waaaaaay up there, then I have to remind myself that there are actually people in Canada. :rofl

and I've found myself switching from orienting myself with Gulf<....>Atlantic in Florida to Missisippi<....>Atlantic in Alabama and now I use Pacific<.....>Atlantic. I think I'm rather water oriented.

and everyone go to the !
How far are you from Houston? Have you looked at any of the SPCA horses?
5 to 7 hrs, depending on their location. I haven't looked in a good long while. Have a meeting at a local recue, every Tuesday in April. I am skeeeeeeered...... :?

Don't even mention houston SPCA! I am going to be in houston with an open spot in my trailer next weekend >.<
I can't help but want another pony, lol! It's the last thing I need. I really don't need another horse for a good 5 years at least. :sad
