Spotted or not?

Hi again! Havent been on in ages so hope you havent all forgotten me! :love I have a question...we have a jet black filly (miniature horse) out of a silver dapple tobiano and out of a black snowflake mare. the filly has no sign of spotting, ie: no mottling anywhere, but she does have one striped hind foot...does this mean she will spot out later???

It is hard to say. Her being black, female and having a mom with likely a low PATN points to all the factors for appy suppression. But at the same time, striped hooves occur for reasons other than appy. Does she have any white on that foot?

Fist of all Welcome Back!

I would say, that with striping on only one foot, it is probably due to a white spot on coronet band. However, like Monster pointed out she is also a likely candidate for LP suppression and could still develop characteristics or spotting later.

Any chance of getting a picture of the little girl and the striping?
