The ridden pic is the one sold to Sweden, though the ad doesn't say how or if they are related, or what the bloodlines are.

According the welsh standard in the UK they would not be eligible for registration, due to their markings.

LOL, I thought the ridden pony was droolicious. I am not so sure however that the colt will actually grow up to look like that
Plus, the problem with splash is it can put some really funky markings making a nice pony look not so nice...

The gelding that she has included in the advert is by Seiont Hyder out of Talylln Modeln

Some true welshies in his breeding and no doubt the old welsh vob stalwarts quaked in their boots when this young lad came out!

I hadn't heard he had sold until i read this topic, shame he's gone abroad as i was looking forward to seeing him in the flesh out and about next year :-(

I have no idea what the breeding of the young colt is though i'm afraid.

Neither are, as you will have guessed, for me.
And I am not happy about a 16 month old being harness trained, either.
Good Luck with a 13.3hh rising two year old making 15.00, too.
OK, off to take my "anti-snark" medicine now :rofl

Sadly his pattern (nor his color) isn't quite as cool as the OP's. I really love the way it stops horizontally whereas most of The Promise's cross over the topline. I also love his light mane on that dark neck.

However The Promise has about 3 others I'd take in a flash... if I had ANY reason for a pony. Too bad all my (and my only) grandkids are already too big for ponies. :sad

You do have a friend, who while she prefers big horses, could possibly fit on a large pony. ;)

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

I didn't figure she'd even DREAM of coming down off of her "high horse" to ride a pony (Lace doesn't count... she's special :booty ). :rofl

I have since found out that the colt is by none other than HOYS winner Ffoslas Prince Of Wales!!!

He is out of a beautifully bred mare with very minimal markings - a true example of an extreme crop out :o
