Sooty/Pangare Discussion

Alright, so I'm a bit confused... I continue to hear/read that sooty tends to affect the legs first and move up the body. And while I have seen this, all the personal experiences I've had with sooty (except maybe one or two) all look like they had soot dumped from the topline...And down through the tail... Is there any accepted "this is what sooty looks like" phenotype? I wouldn't call him pangare personally. I couldn't really say if he could be classified as 'minimal pangare'.

I think it looks like he has slightly lighter areas that don't seem that uncommon in bays.

Also, some photos of the boys in the original post after body clipping. :)

The buckskin seems to have a lot of white hairs coming in as well on his neck and back. Sire is our blue roan so we're still wondering what will come of that.. lol

I love the way your buckskins are coming in. So unusual LOL well from an artistic stand point that is. I have a feeling that the bays you posted yesterday, have recently been clipped as well. Their coats almost have a muted color to it, which makes me think they have been clipped.
