Re: Silhouette's up on Marestare
Awww. Don't be haten on the ratties. LOL. They're homeless now that I kicked them out of my shed. LOL
I really don't mind them. They feed the cats and the my python.
What I really hate are the ground squirrels! Talk about ruining the arenas! Grrr
Silhouette has not changed much. Her bag is down and still clear milk. So we continue to watch and wait.
Re: Silhouette's up on Marestare
LOL, oh man they freak me out, whenever the dogs hear me in the barn screaming they know to come and save my life from the rat! They love to get squirrels too but I'm the opposite, I don't mind the squirrels. Anyway yeah I'm actually waiting for puppies due now too, what's the saying? " A watched pot never boils " but don't dare take your eyes of it either because that's when it boils over!
Re: Silhouette's up on Marestare
LOL. I know. As soon as you think it won't be a while, it'll be that night.
I used to raise rats so I'm not that squimesh about them. Really, the only thiing that gets to me are ticks. Ewwww!
They are also the one critter I can kill. Everything else is Live and Let Live. LOL. Ticks are just not useful!!
Apparently she hasn't figured out how wide she really is as she just got herself cast up against the gate. You must have been watching Andrea because you were already out there by the time I managed to locate my phone to call.
Yeah. I am so happy I saw it! OMG! I'm now paranoid and I'll get no sleep until she has this foal!
She was caught tight. We're lucky she was against the gate and was just a matter of opening it and letting her figure it out.
You don't realize how wide they are until you see it from the belly side! LOL.
She's seemed to have stalled in her progress. Her bag isn't engorged anymore and point towards each other now. Her milk is clear again. Not sure if I can do this for another week! :BH
Re: Silhouette's up on Marestare
Okay, do you still have your fingernails? If so, you are way ahead of me...mine left last week....this time of year takes its toll on me, brain function is cut in half by late Jan.; any diet I might have started is shot by mid-Feb.; and the eyes start to go by March. Don't usually lose my fingernails (been growing them for 20+ years) but this year I have too many due (5 total).
I have been dealing with the same thing with Maya. She bags up a month before due and keeps me on my toes...she looks like the Goodyear blimp, but still holding tightly onto that bundle of joy.
Re: Silhouette's up on Marestare
Oh wow, and I MISSED IT...dang. I have been up for days watching mares and finally collapsed last night (didn't even hear the barn alarm go off) only to learn today that, once again, my body had failed me... :(( X( :((
Congratulations on the new bub :toast ... :bday Wee "Bub", may you grow up big and strong like pappy and as handsom as mum is beautiful.
I see he's getting around well although it's too dark inside the barn to really see him, but I am sure I will get the chance to see new pixs SOON!
Re: Silhouette's up on Marestare
So far it looks shockingly like Ditto. I can't wait to hear more.
he does :D
adoooorable. I did miss it, but I was watching her last night until about 1am...she would lay down and either look/talk/chew at her stomach. Figured she'd go right after I fell asleep or something..LOL
Can't wait to see real pics of him posted...but the cam is nifty as you can see him move around..LOL. Momma just flopped down and he nearly jumped out of his skin..LOL
Re: Silhouette's up on Marestare
I find that most mares do the tail wringing...not sure why. It goes along with the "wall bumping" thing they like to do...looks painful to me, but they seem to get some relief from it...
