She's not a horse she's a puppy dog...

V will be two years old next month, scary to think about but I got a good look into her personality today. To start this with I haven't been working with her much, maybe once a month when I do her hooves I'll practice setting her up for halter and just handle her some, otherwise she's just left wild and gets petted daily. The only training thing I've done recently was last month I put a surcingle on her to get her used to the idea of something around her middle, didnt tighten it all the way'. She was fine. So, today I had by synthetic saddle out in the field ready to ride my paint mare and since I ride her in my hollow snaffle I got the idea to bit V for a few minutes as a little mini lesson. I slipped the bridle on her, she mouthed it and gagged a bit, stayed real calm. I then tossed the saddle pad up and rubbed it around on her. Well, hey mom, this thing is like way smaller than the winter blanket, why's it suposed to be so scary? Aaaannnnd I threw the saddle on AND snugged the girth. Nothing. Within 10 minutes of starting all this I was leading her around the house at a walk and trot fully tacked up and she was even holding the bit....she's a cyborg I swear...
