Sb1, help me see it better

I know with me it's mostly
I know with me it's mostly looking in the animal's pedigree and parent's colors that makes me think SB1 over other KIT mutations. SB1 and W can mimic each other very closely. So if the horse in question is a breed that has been proven to have SB1 like a TWH that usually makes me determine SB1 as the most likely cause of the white pattern. For an animal of unknown background it could be anything and a test would be needed to determine if SB1 is there or not.
Some people probably have a better eye for it visually alone, but breed and pedigree are what mostly help me.

He is sb1/sb1, so all of his offspring are heterozygous for sabino 1. Interestingly enough, his are not very "blingy."
Here is our herdsire that is
Here is our herdsire that is tested sb 1.
We also suspect he may also be SW as he has thrown some sw foals, but that could have also come from the mares. We will know more when we get the results of the sw test back.
I will post the results for SW when I get them.
Updated 1/26/12 This horse tested heterozygous SW- 1.
Here is Shimmer who tested
Here is Shimmer who tested positive for SB1
She is homozygous black and heterozygous SB1. Negative for silver and Frame. I am thinking of doing a splash test on her.

Her sire (her dam is solid bay) so SB1 must come from Daddy

Here is Sunny (chestnut + flaxen) who tested negative for SB1 and Tobiano but definitely some kind of Sabino going on as he has a lot of ticking through his coat. Another possible contender for the splash test too. Sunny also tested heterozygous for Silver and homozygous for Agouti.
