quick run down on extension color links

I need to verify that I've got my info correct. Roan and tobiano both link to extension correct? Are there any others that do so? Does the crossover rate vary or is it constant at around 3%? Thanks!

Um...only if it's over mine too! Reductional division is another name for the first division of meiosis. This is the stage at which recombination occurs. I'm not sure why it's a "comeback" though! :?

Me either. However I showed him your numbers last night and he threw away the pad he'd been writing punnets on and put the info in Excel... about half an hour later I got "Ummm... it seems I left out a couple possibilities. I should have used Excel before. Her numbers are correct." :rofl :rofl Some apology. :rofl :rofl

Hehe I keep thinking of questions. If its not known how a gene is linked is it ok probability wise to just run 50/50 chance? I mean treat it as if the linkage is not there?

Would be lovely if you could be more specific. :rofl But if there is no PROOF yet that it is linked, I would go with the normal figures if it were me. If it's suspected... I guess it depends what it is.

No I mean if you know the genes are linked but don't know which way. Like you have a blue roan mare that is Ee but you don't know if the roan is linked to the E or the e . Wouldn't that mean you have a 50/50 chance of it linking either way so it would be the same as no linkage?
