Hi I have had a vet examine
Hi I have had a vet examine both , he also did skin scrapings on the bay.
They have never had rain scald (rot ) as they always had turnout rugs on .
Vet said that there was no sign of any skin condition and it basically was just a colour variation .
I will send you hairs if you wish hoof pick .
Is it from both ?
I can send hair from the duns mare too.
Just pm me your address.
Oh I don't know if it's relevent but the 2 yr old bay has no testicles and a severe heart murmur .

Thank you for posting pics
Thank you for posting pics supaspot ,
the first pic of the black dun ,his dam is a bay dun and the sire is black/white tobiano .
And the bay with lacing his dam is bay and he has the same sire .
The bay looks to have a prominent black dorsal which can be seen clearer from behind but it seems to fade out along the back .
What do you guys make of these markings? :-?
