Not a horse foal but a Donkey foal

I have a Donkey Mare and foal staying with me at the minute as she was only born in the early hrs of Monday morning they are using my stable as the weather is so unpredictable and dont want the foal getting wet and cold (his own stable is full of hay at the minute). Anyway I am only delighted to have them as its great to have a baby around. The mare is so sweet and loves affection and the filly is loving her rubs now and trys to eat my jacket  Anyway the mare is you normal grey coloured donkey but the stallion was jet black and the result is a filly that is darker then the mother and her lower legs look black and her ears are the funniest thing I have ever seen as they are black and tan. If anyone is a donkey colour expert I would love to hear what you think of her and if you have seen those kind of markings on a donkeys ears before Here she is with her Mom Maggie And a close up of the ears

I am not a colour expert and definately havent a clue on donkeys but I asked my neighbour do the donkey foals shed out like horse foals and he said "no" that basically the colour she is now is her colour so I dont know if she will change or not. Its her ears that really surprised me.
