Liver chestnut or silver?

Since I am not really convinced this is liver - the hind legs in the hock area appear to be black - I would like to ask you for your opinion - what do you think?: https://www.blm.gov/adoptahorse/horse.php?horse_id=3354" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I would say that is chestnut. The sooty "effect" likes to gather on the joints like that and often makes them appear darker. But the flaxen distal points give it away.

Seems only UK can't see the BLM link... what does that mean? Revenge for the Tea-Party :?: :lol: :twisted:
Thanks to everybody for their ideas!

Another vote for chestnut.

I have a chestnut who is way darker than that on the lower legs, & no chance of her being silver.
