Yeah, I don't doubt that Mongolians have had some contact with Altai horses and considering how old that gene/those genes are it would make sense for it to have gotten over there. Never saw one before, though!
Well, I suppose there are a lot of different horses in Mongolia, not just the "Mongolian" Kind of looks like a cross, maybe with a Galshar? I looked at the Darkhad, Tes, Myangad, and Jargalant and none of those really "fit." Even all of those have a lot of variation, though. We'll just say Mongolian as "that horse is in Mongolia."

I think the Altai mountains are right there on the boarder of mongolia. I know they come in spotted coats, so if there isn't controlled breeding, why not lol.
