Interesting appaloosa pattern, gulastral plume?

http://shoeby-stock.deviantart.com/art/Dressage-004-204837348 / http://shoeby-stock.deviantart.com/art/Dressage-005-204837425 stumbled across this while looking for an appaloosa marking reference. I originally liked it because of his neat roaning/spotting pattern and then I noticed he had a completely white tail! Now, I am aware that Lp does whiten tails to an extent but I have personally only seen near-white tails (on a dark base) with few spots and leopards only, which made it a little more interesting. Looking at his mane it seems pretty much solid with a few white hairs here and there. But after looking at his leg markings it kind of made me wonder if he was a gulastra plume since he had high whites in the back that looked sabino-esque, which might be a little far fetched but his tail is stark white. Assuming the tail head would normally be whitened by LP (kind of like this guy http://globalhorseculture.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/2007/11/14/g… ) but even to my knowledge most Lp's usually still have tinges/traces of colour in their original tail colour unless they are on a light base coat (where it would be near impossible to differentiate the two colours). And I mean holy smokes, his tail doesn't have a speck of colour in it! looks like it was just freshly bleached XD Just kind of curious to see everyones opinions.

He looks like minimal tobiano is causing the tail. Gulastra plume is not a shocking white color and more like roaning got concentrated in the tail end.

I have seen a black appy without pattern alleles have a pure white mane and tail. She was a horse from a local rescue who was varnishing in the snowflake pattern. Looked like a galaxy with all the white spots, but her mane and tail had already changed to pure white.

Thanks for the neat find!

Could also be a splash/sabino effect, judging by his leg markings. Or the splash effect could be heightened by the presence of the other patterns.
