What intrigues me about this colt is the unusual markings as well as his coloration. Some of his body spots are jet black and others are a rick deep chestnut. The coloration around the eye and else where is often mixed chestnut and jet black. Often the hair comes in red and turn to black. I know this sounds crazy.
The patches are lines and sharped edged patches, not the usual rounded ones. Is this a sabino trait besides Sb1?
Re: Homozygous Tobiano and Splash Combo
Could he maybe be brown-based instead of bay-based? I'm not to knowledgable about the spots, but it could be from another unknown white pattern or because of the competition going on between splash and tobiano. I like how the first pic almost makes him look appy + pinto.
